Yellow Door Heart Moms past and present met at Stone Creek to share their experiences in a language only they can understand. Jessie, left, is the mother of 5-month old Lily, who got her new heart over a month ago. She is finally out of the hospital and recovering at our Rosie’s Place apartment. Sister Maia, who visits along with Dad on weekends, has found her special place on the Cordaroy!
Jessie gained insights and encouragement from Sephida, right, seen here with her son Nehemiah. Her youngest child, daughter Khansaa, (age 3) just reached her 2-year transplant milestone! She is on the move nonstop, and is talking up a storm ! Sephida is now on our Board, and is an encyclopedia when it comes to pediatric heart transplant. Check out this video, in which she was featured for this year’s virtual 2020 Heart Ball.
