Meet Khalila
True to her lively spirit, Kahlila had a little dance party before surgery to “get her wiggles out.”
Kahlila is an energetic almost-7-year-old with Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart condition involving four structural differences that affect how her heart works. After facing frequent illnesses at home, she and her mom stayed at Baer Hart leading up to her recent heart surgery. The procedure went well, and Kahlila has now been cleared to return home to recover.
She loves all things alphabet and numbers, enjoys foam mat puzzles, and never misses a chance to watch her favorite show, Bluey. Her favorite color is bright orange, which perfectly matches her joyful personality.
