Meet Myles
Through everything, Myles stays brave, curious, and full of the things he loves most.
Myles is an almost-7-year-old currently receiving treatment at UVA for a stage 3 anaplastic Wilms tumor, a rare and aggressive type of kidney cancer that requires strong medicine to help shrink the tumor and fight the disease. His parents and his 3-year-old brother, Tyson, are staying at Maggie’s Place so they can remain close to him throughout his treatment. Having his family nearby brings Myles comfort and helps make a difficult time feel a little less scary.
Myles is full of personality and big interests. He loves the Baltimore Ravens, NASCAR—especially Chase Briscoe—and all things football. He enjoys puzzles, math, and drawing, and his favorite TV characters include Steve from Minecraft and MewTwo from Pokémon. His favorite colors are red and brown, and he never turns down chocolate ice cream, veggie straws, airheads, gummy worms, pizza, or chicken.
