Meet Azaria
Azaria’s family is staying at Fox Hollow while she is being treated for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
Sweet Azaria arrived at the end of April at just 5 months old and is already showing incredible strength. She is currently receiving specialized care at UVA for hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), a rare and complex congenital heart condition in which the left side of the heart does not develop properly. Children with HLHS often require multiple surgeries and ongoing cardiac care throughout infancy and childhood.
Despite the challenges that come with her diagnosis, Azaria continues to fight each day with the courage and resilience that inspire everyone around her. Her family has been focused on staying close by her side as she receives the critical treatment and monitoring she needs.
During long days at the hospital, having a place to stay nearby provides comfort, stability, and precious moments together as a family while Azaria continues her journey toward healing.
