Opened in September 2022

Yellow Door’s 6th Apartment, Fox Hollow, is sponsored by Board Director Sarah Zimmerman and her husband, Todd.  Fox Hollow officially opened its doors welcoming its first family in Septmeber 2022.

This beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is situated in a quiet corner of Stone Creek Village with views of Carter’s Mountain from a bedroom window.  It will be a peaceful, comforting space for larger families facing difficult times.

Fox Hollow welcomed Xion’s family, including big sister Icelyn, when Baby Xion made his debut early. 
Doctors diagnosed him in utero with congenital heart defects.  The family was prepared to move from Chesapeake to Charlottesville so he could be treated at UVA Children’s.  However, his earlier than expected arrival moved up the timeline.  
Xion will undergo surgery in mid-December for right atrial reduction, tricuspid valve repair. 
Mom is recovering at Fox Hollow and visits the hospital to see Xion.  Grandma helps with Icelyn at their new home away from home while Dad, serving in the US Army, is stationed in Georgia with visits on the weekends.
