Meet “Biscuit”
Biscuit (Ervin) and Cornbread called Baer-Hart House home while in Charlottesville for heart treatment.
His given name is Ervin, but his mom calls him “Biscuit.” Biscuit came to UVA Children’s at five years old. He was born with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) and had two surgeries to try and fix it. He also had a trach and a G-tube for feeding.
Biscuit was at UVA for two months before his mom and baby brother, whom mom calls “Cornbread,” moved into Baer-Hart House, allowing them more room to spread out. They were so thankful to have a nice, comfortable place to stay that was close to the hospital.
Biscuit left UVA in stable condition in early May 2024 after three and half months to continue to be monitored by doctors at CHKD which is closer to the family’s Norfolk home.
