Meet Camaya
Camaya had two prior heart surgeries before requring a heart transplant.
We welcomed Camaya (“Maya”) and her mom Victoria to our Baer Hart apartment in April 2023. Maya is a 9th grader from Richmond who received a new heart on March 8. She had two prior open heart surgeries-one at 9 months in 2009 and another at 10 years old in 2019 .
Mom says, “She’s doing a wonderful job recovering and is now working on getting in and out of bed . We are moving to the intermediate side so hoping we are in our way out the door to the apartment.”
