Meet Gabe
Gabe continues to feel stronger everyday and has a new role as Big Brother to Titus to fulfill.
Gabe joined the Yellow Door family when he was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of three, and he and his family traveled from Winchester, VA to Charlottesville for treatment at UVA Children’s. Gabe and family stayed with Yellow Door in the VOGA House for 39 days during Covid while he received treatment. Yellow Door was so thankful they were able to continue supporting families like Gabe’s during Covid.
Update on Gabe
Gabe is doing fantastic. He is working his way through maintenance. He continues to feel well and treatment is effective. He has tons of energy and is enjoying being with his brothers doing his ‘schoolwork’ like a big boy! He’s very smart and continues to be very brave.
He loves his new title of “Big Brother” to baby Titus who joined the family in the middle of December.
