Meet Hailee

Hailee has been a fighter since the very beginning. Born at just 25 weeks and weighing only 1 pound, 9 ounces, she spent her first 145 days in the NICU growing stronger every day.

Since then, Hailee’s journey has included many hospital stays as she continues to battle complex heart and lung conditions. Most recently, seizures led to a pulmonary hypertension crisis, and she has been on a ventilator since November 25. Through it all, Hailee continues to show incredible strength and determination as she works hard each day to heal and regain her strength.

With home located five hours away from Charlottesville, staying at the Valley House has allowed Hailee’s parents to remain close by during this difficult season. It has also given her sister the chance to visit whenever she can get away from school — precious moments that mean everything to their family.
