Meet Hailey
Hailey was diagnosed with Acute Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia just four days before her brother was born.
At 2 years old Hailey was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Hailey became sick very suddenly and after a trip to the pediatrician for what was thought to be an infection, they were rushed to UVA Children’s where she started treatment for ALL the very next day.
Hailey’s diagnosis came just four days before her baby brother was born. Her doctors are happy with how she’s responding to treatment and she just finished her first phase of therapy.
The family, including new baby brother, are at The Dreamer Apartment while Hailey continues treatment.
Mom shares: “This is for such a great cause! The Yellow Door Foundation has been such a blessing to us these last few months since Hailey’s diagnosis. They provide housing near the hospital in Charlottesville for children and their families while receiving treatment at no cost to the families. This makes such a difference for us and many other families and gives them one less thing to worry about while their child is receiving treatment.”
