Meet Kizzy
Born healthy, Baby Kizzy needed a great transplant soon after birth for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Baby Kizzy was born healthy, with no heart issues, but soon after birth developed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which required a life-saving heart transplant in Feburary 2022. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a condition where the heart muscle becomes abnormally thick, making it difficult for the heart to pump blood.
She recovered with her mom, and twin 5-year-old sisters in the Baer-Hart House for two months before returning home to Williamsburg, VA.
