Meet Kooper
Two and a half-year old Kooper came with his family to the Dreamer Apartment after being diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor.
Kooper, his parents and seven month-old sister moved into the newly refinished Dreamer Apartment in September 2021 while Kooper underwent treatment for a Wilms Tumor, a type of kidney cancer. While this cancer is rare, it is the most common type of kidney cancer in children. It is highly treatable and has a good prognosis. The family came to UVA Children’s from Mathias, West Virginia.
