Meet Lily Belle

Lily was air-lifted to UVA Children’s from Southwest VA just after birth in December and is being treated for a rare chromosomal issue.  Lily is growing and eating, and now weighs over seven pounds!  She will require her NG tube for feedings and oxygen, and doctors decided to wait a few more months to let her grow before they consider heart surgery.  However, we are so excited to share that after three months, she is healthy enough to return home and meet Big Sister Lana!

The family says they are, “Extremely thankful to Yellow Door for letting us stay here so we could see her regularly. Her sister, Lana, is doing well, and visits the apartment with her grandparents. I can’t wait for the girls to finally meet each other. Thank you guys again for everything.”
