Malin recieved a second kidney transplant in March 2026 with a near perfect match!
At just 9 years old, Malin has already shown incredible courage and resilience. Living with nephropathic cystinosis and chronic kidney disease, she recently received her second kidney transplant at the end of March — a near perfect match that has given her family renewed hope and an excellent prognosis for the future.
Despite the many challenges she has faced, Malin’s joyful spirit shines brightly. She loves all things pink and purple, enjoys arts and crafts, reading stories, and writing alongside her siblings, Callan, Sean, and Finnian, who always keep her smiling and laughing.
One of Malin’s favorite movies is Lilo & Stitch because, as she says, Stitch is a little different but still finds his family — a story that resonates deeply with her kind and courageous heart.
