Meet Nazaret
Nazaret was airlifted to UVA shortly after birth for a treatment and surgey for TGA.
Nazaret was born on February 15, 2024 and was airlifted to UVA Health Children’s shortly after birth. She has a condition called “transposition of the great arteries.” TGA means that the two main blood vessels leaving the heart are in the wrong position. She needed need surgery to correct this congenital heart defect and received it from the amazing cardiac doctors at UVA on February 23.
Her family and support system, including her Abuela who helped with her siblings, stayed at Fox Hollow while her mom was with baby Nazaret in the hospital. Nazaret’s brother and sister love to do puzzles, read books, play games and play outside. They were excited about the walking trails and playgrounds at Stone Creek.
