If These Walls Could Talk

The Valley House

Opened in December 2019

Formerly Rosie’s Place, The Valley House was renamed at the end of 2024 in recognition of the amazing support Yellow Door Foundation receives from friends from the Shenandoah Valley.  Lakeside Book Company, golf tournaments held at Shenvalee Golf Resort, and donors from the region support this apartment.  With over 25% of our families coming to YDF from that region, this is a testament to the  incredible community support The Valley has for its own neighbors.

The Valley House received a face-lift in 2024 thanks to grant support.  Since opening its doors, The Valley House has lodged 21 families. This one-bedroom, one-bath apartment home as been a welcoming space for families confronting severe pediatric illness in order to allow children an optimal environment in which to recover.
