We welcomed Ender (center) his parents and brothers. The family will be staying at our VOGA apartment for 2-3 months while Ender fights leukemia.
Ender and his crew celebrated his 6th birthday at the apartment . . . you should have seen all the balloons . . . plus he received a tiger poncho from our friends at Cape Ivy to keep him cozy throughout his treatment. We’re happy to report that Ender’s latest tests show he’s making great progress!
You may remember one of our Dreamer Apartment families, liver transplant patient Priscilla. At the time, she was fighting the same rare liver disease that took the life of her sister. Thanks to her mom’s diligence and the transplant team at UVA Children’s hospital, Priscilla became only the second patient in the world to get a transplant to fight her disease. She just celebrated her 1 year liverversary, and mom says she’s fantastic!
